On Women's Hour today (Thursday 13th) Jenni Murray, Philippa Gregory and Mavis Cheek discussed the growing phenomenon of "Matron Lit" or "Hen Lit" or whatever it is they're calling it these days.

Disappointingly in our view it didn't really address the issues we'd hoped would emerge and the whole movement was dismissed as a "clever marketing ploy".

While we're over the moon that Philippa thinks we're clever, we were slightly taken aback when the view was expressed that "women simply don't want to read books like this".

If our website membership is anything to go by then we must reluctantly disagree with their proposition but we'd like them to hear it from you.

So, I guess the question we're asking is, do you want these type of books?

  Yes
  No
  Don't Care
